Part of Connect Data & Intelligence
Take your Relay data further.
A separately licensed add-on that gives your analysts a dedicated, read-only reporting database, refreshed from Relay, for Power BI and other tools that connect to PostgreSQL—with credentials your administrators control.
- Optional add-on
Customer Analytics Add-on
- Connect compatible BI tools through PostgreSQL
- Work with a dedicated read-only reporting database
- Control access with organization or partner credentials
What your team can accomplish
Give analysts a dedicated path from care data to insight.
Who it serves
- Analysts and BI developers
- Data and IT teams that manage database access
- Leaders who report to boards, funders and partners
What the add-on provides
A dedicated database
A reporting database for each customer, separate from Relay's operational database and never shared with another customer.
A documented model
Members, programs, screenings and needs, eligibility checks, referrals and outcomes, service authorizations and delivered units, invoices, claims, payments and value-based results, in a versioned reporting model.
Scheduled refresh
Rebuilt from Relay at least every 24 hours. Each refresh applies completely or not at all; if one fails, reports keep the last consistent data.
Access you control
Administrators issue, rotate and revoke read-only credentials in Relay and see connection instructions, data freshness and access history.
Scoped credentials
A credential covers the whole organization, a single partner's records, or aggregates only—contract- and provider-level value-based results without member-level rows.
Standard connectivity
A standard PostgreSQL connection, which Power BI and many other BI tools support.
Three kinds of read-only credential
Every credential is read-only and separate from Relay roles. Use the narrowest one that serves the report.
| Credential | What it can read | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Organization-wide | The whole reporting model, including member-level records | Your own analytics team |
| Partner | Only records linked to that partner | Sharing a partner's own results with them |
| Aggregate-only | Reference data and contract- and provider-level value-based results; no member-level rows | Executive and funder reporting |
Reporting credentials work only with the reporting database.
Customer Analytics Add-on
Your questions, answered
How does our organization get started?
Licensed separately. During onboarding, we agree with your team where your reporting database is hosted, how often it refreshes and which BI tools you'll connect.
How should we govern reporting access?
BI credentials are read-only and separate from Relay roles, so your administrators decide exactly who sees reporting data, including member-level details such as dates of birth.
Does reporting access open records in Relay?
Reporting access stays within the reporting database: it never opens member records in Relay or shares member data with other organizations.
How it connects to the rest of Relay
- Reporting & Analytics
Core reports and exports included with Relay, compared with this add-on.
- Value-Based Performance
The same calculation runs Relay shows in the application.
- Community Information Exchange
BI access is separate from network sharing and never extends what partners can see.
